Physics Unit 2 - Electricity
During Key Stage 3 students will have looked at how we can store energy usefully in cells and batteries, and how we can then use these in circuits. They will also have considered how we use electricity safely in the home.
In this unit students will learn about the key underlying principles of electricity. Discovering what makes and electric current and how we can control the flow of current in a circuit. They will have the opportunity to look at how we can use components such as diodes, thermistors and light-dependent resistors to alter the resistance to make useful circuits, before looking in more detail at how electricity is used safely in the home.
