What do we do in year 7?
KS3 science follows the AQA ‘big ideas’ syllabus. Within this we aim to teach for understanding, not just content. We do not only teach concepts but also equip our students with the understanding to apply their knowledge to unfamiliar concepts – this will enable them to learn to see the world analytically, explain phenomena and make predictions. Lessons are designed to engage, enthuse and inspire students, with relevant experiments and hands on learning, as well as developing key skills required for the GCSE course.
